How to change Nameservers on domains registered through Namecheap

If you have signed up for a Bluehost hosting account and you intend to use a domain you registered through Namecheap you will need to point that domain to your new hosting account by using custom nameservers.

  1. Log into Namecheap
  2. Click on “Domain List” in the left side menu
  3. Locate your domain on the list and click the “manage” button on the right side
  4. Scroll down to the “Nameservers” section and select “Custom DNS” from the drop down.
  5. Enter the Bluehost nameservers information and click the green checkmark to the right to save.

The nameservers you'll need to use for Bluehost are:

ns1.bluehost.com

ns2.bluehost.com
